Tim and I dashed over to Kristen's hotel about 9:30 AM. Kelly was already workshopping across the river at the Bullseye Glass Company and would be tied up with her class into the evening.
We drove over to the Sellwood neighborhood and bumped into Riley, the camera shy Great Dane
who had one brown eye and one blue eye.
We talked to Riley's dad for a while and got a history lesson on the breed.
Tim and I were eager for Kristen to see the Art Lovers Gallery.
but it was
We walked around a bit and then found the most interesting store called Sock Dreams.
Then we did what I do best; that is, get a fancy pastry and a great cup of coffee at St. Honore Boulangerie (no, I can't say that) in Lake Oswego. We sat outside and talked and talked about art.
We were off again, wandered around here and there and wound up in the Alphabet District.
I was still hungry.
After a delicious lunch at Papa Hayden's, where we talked and talked about art. And we kept walking.
So, ...then we went back over to the Oregon Society of Artists, and what did we discover?
I thought all the art stuff was only closed on Mondays...
Anyway, we dropped Kristen off at the hotel and came home for a short while. Finally, we swung back and picked her up for a sunset walk and a leisurely beer on the Willamette River in downtown Portland.
|We missed Kelly. Luckily, we couldn't find a parking space here.|
Perfect way to end the day.
