This is a lovely painting, great composition and beautifully executed.
So, I wasn't the only one? I,too was living in Detroit, and did the same thing. Northland Mall. I love this painting, Chris. Just stunning, but I especially love the composition.
Great painting, Chris! And bringing back some crazy memories ...I used to hitchike too...once from Montreal to Panguitch (Utah), another time from Quebec City to St-John's Newfoundland (oups we took the ferry from North Sidney-Nova Scotia to Port-aux-Basques).Crazy and dangerous!
Oh, thank you, Rolina!!
How did we not run into each other at Northland, Laurie? I grew up at 7 Mile and Dequindre. Went to Pershing HS. How about you, you wild woman?
And Martine. I wasn't sure if you had been wild and crazy in your youth, but you've got me beat!! To Utah? From Montreal, Canada? I had to googlemap that - it is 3,818 km. And Quebec City to St. Johns - another 2300 km. That explains the twinkle in your eye in your photo! I still can't believe we did stuff like that and got out alive.
My sister and I walked on the railroad tracks when we were......hmmmmmm 14-15 !! I get the horrors just thinking about it now!! Amazing piece Chris! Love it!
Oh, Hilda. Not you, too?! Railroad tracks. Now you can get into some real trouble there! So glad we all got out alive and in one piece. And thanks for the compliment.
And absolutely wow piece, Chris! I can't believe you hitchhiked anywhere, let alone Detroit!! Not something I was ever brave enough to do.
Thanks,Sherry. And I wasn't brave. I was just stupid.
I love it Chris! Great colors too. I was never as adventurous as you or Martine, but I admire your guts. Of course, life was simpler then!...:)
This is such a beautiful painting!
Thank you, Helen. You're right. Life was much simpler then.
Thank you so much, Linda!
I can't believe I did a lot of the things I did when I was younger. Love this painting, beautifully executed with color and composition.
