O is for the Color Orange

Peaches - Watercolor Batik - 8X10

Anything orange appeals to me - even orange peaches.   The color orange is kind of flamboyant and a little spicy.
There are orange sunsets, orange fish, orange flowers and orange leaves.  I even once had an orange couch, but that was a long time ago (maybe in the 70's).

Some love orange, some hate it.  I like it.

  4. I kinda wanna WEAR this painting. Maybe wrapped like a giant sweater around my whole house. It just says home to me in a truly deeply quietly joyful way. Just sayin.

  11. Apparently, when I was a child, I only wanted orange clothes and was cross with my father for not buying an orange car.

    I love your painting!

  12. I LOVE it, Chris. And I had an orange chair in the 60s. It sat on orange shag carpeting!

  22. Thanks, Laurie. I had an orange lava lamp - great when listening to Bob Dylan, Bob Seger, and the Eagles.

  27. Chris, this is a lovely painting and you've made me realise how many orange things I actually love! I have a lovely tube of Permanent Orange paint which I hardly ever use but now you've given me ideas… thank you!

Thank you, Sharon! For some reason, orange is my most seldom used color, too.
