They Were Framed

We've been busy framing, but managed to squeeze in a quick trip to the studio of artist Randall David Tipton during this first Portland Open Studios weekend.

The bad news is that we weren't able to walk away with a piece of Randall's artwork.  But the good news is that we placed a deposit on one of his beautiful landscape paintings, and that it will be mine (I mean "ours") next month!

    1. Thanks, Debbie. The new painting is my birthday gift, anniversary gift and Christmas gift - this year and probably next..., but I'm so thankful to have it.

  8. Hey Chris!!
So nice to see these paint framed. They are fantastic.
This certainly deserved a nice spot at the exhibition. The portret of the giraffe looks very well.

    Many sweet greetings,
    Marco

  9. How nice to see your beautiful paintings all framed together in a lovely set. I recently visited a Rosa Sepple exhibition in London and was struck by how effective it is to see the same painting style all in the same style of frame. I wish you continued success with your art.

    1. Thanks, Sharon. These are replacement paintings for an exhibit. Years ago, I worked as the exhibition chair for a large art group in Detroit. Most of the gallery owners were pretty insistent that framing be uniform. I saw that they were right after all of the artwork had been hung.
