Hi Chris, never used the rice paper but I do love the texture. Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my blog. Am doing more experiments with texture during this challenge. Will enjoy your blog and also watch for more pics from you. Happy New Year.

Truly gorgeous! Do mind sharing with me the colors of blue you used? Also, do you follow David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust on Facebook. So many great elephant images!
Thanks, Nancy! I mixed a few colors, but here are a couple I used straight up: Ice Blue, Dr. PH Martin's Radiant Concentrated Watercolor (liquid). The radiant watercolors and the regular liquid watercolor paints are really intense - some are pretty tough to lift. With this color, I used it both diluted with water and some diluted with a little white gouache. The darker blues are Slate Blue - Radiant Concentrated Watercolor (it's a denim color which I also heavily diluted with water) and WN ultramarine blue. I also used Cheap Joe's American Journey Professional Watercolor in Sky Blue in a tube. My husband took a Janet Roger's workshop and she recommended a few colors from this line. They're actually pretty nice. Thanks for the tip on the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. WOW!! I'm in love with theses beauties. Really appreciate that, Nancy!!Thanks for the tip on
