30 Paintings in 30 Days - #'s 22 & 23

Watercolor - 5X7

Watercolor - 5X7

If I had my life to live over, I would run a world class animal sanctuary devoid of all political and
celebrity endorsements.   Of course, then I would have to be independently wealthy,  but that's what I would do.

Two more for the menagerie.  Think I'll just finish off the challenge with animals - they're my favorites anyway...

  4. Animals are my favorites, too, and you do them so well! If I were independently wealthy, I would help you with your animal sanctuary. The facts that I keep my politics to myself and I'm not a celebrity would be a plus. Can't wait to see what's next!

  5. Oh, wait. I was on the Bozo the Clown show when I was a kid, so maybe I am a celebrity... I would wear sunglasses to avoid autograph seekers.

  12. Your animals are stupendous, Chris. So honored that I own one. I love the Polar Bear sniffing the air! And these two-that sienna color in the lion, and all the grace that you bestow on them all. If I had my life to live over, maybe I could join you! Just getting so very disheartened by the state of everything right now. Trying to listen to more music. Thank God we have our art!

    1. Thank you, Laurie. I wish you would join me - to live in a REAL world unaffected by ugliness or specific agendas or any of that nonsense. Oh, guess I just described heaven! And you're right, thank God we have our art, so we get to go there in our minds and hearts at least.

  16. I want to come help too. In a perfect world. I fear so for our worldly animal population these days. My heart is really all about animals too. These are lovely! Almost there! Do some more!

    1. We have a special spot reserved for you, Pattie. I fear for our animal population, too, and I really don't understand why everyone doesn't feel an incredible love and responsibility for them...

  17. If I had the money, I would def have an animal sanctuary, probably for dogs, but my love of all animals would more then likely mean the place would have anything and everything that needed help :D

very nice work, would be great to see you finish the challenge with more animals :)

    1. And I think Scotland would be the perfect spot, Jennifer! Yes, start off with a couple of dogs, then some cats, then you hear a sad story about an ELEPHANT or a RHINO, and boom - you're off!! You're buying more and more food and more and more land, and it just kind of evolves... How cool for someone with a sweet heart (you) to offer an animal a safe and happy home for the rest of his life! I can only imagine right now, but you never know...

    2. would you still be a classed as a hoarder tho if you had an elephant? :p

  18. Absolutely love your animals! The washes and delicate lines, their majestic character simply done! Even if we don't have the money or place we can take care of the animals we meet. I have a rescue dog, take care of 4 yard cats, all fixed, a chicken that comes around daily, and lately a little groundhog poked his face.
