Watercolor - 6X6

This is a watercolor from last week.

. . . . . . .

Art journal:

I was looking for a different way to transfer laser jet copies of images into the journal and found something called a Chartpak blender marker.  There are many YouTube videos describing how to use the pen.  Unfortunately, I got a little carried away with the pen and ruined the journal page, so I did what my favorite watercolor teacher suggested & cropped it.

After cropping the page, I thought it would be nice to make a "favorite songs from every decade" grouping - up to the end of the 20th century.   The one below, of course, is from the 1930s & the song is "The Very Thought of You."  These will be small - 4X4.

    2. Me, too. The only ones I like so far are Maroon 5 and Jason Mraz (and I'm not sure the kids would consider them to be new:)

  10. Chris, I am just loving what you are doing. The softness is beautiful. The soul in the eyes of the cat takes my breath away. Love the 30's themed journal page too!

  12. Oooo those eyes! Great work on the journal also, Chris. Hope spring is springing in your neck of the woods. We still have TONS of snow! ... last year our crocus were up at the time. Sigh ...

    1. Snow? Oh, no... Yes, it is springtime here, but it is almost always springtime here.

  16. What a fabulous close up of this lion ( or tiger) , the eyes are really amazing ! It's a good thing that you can 'save' a watercolor cropping it .
