  1. Chris, you live in a beautiful part of the country! I'm a desert person, but I also love the ocean and the greenery. Lucky Jim gets to go to Washington in June. Happy Friday!

    1. Candy, I really feel blessed to live here. The air is clear - washed by frequent rain. Bet Jim will have great weather in Washington in June - beautiful country there, too.
      Have a wonderful weekend, Candy!

The gorge is breathtaking. I drove down there once at sunrise & almost ran off the road looking at the view... It looks pretty cool during the day and at sunset, too.

    1. Thanks, Pattie. That photo of Cannon Beach was taken right before sunset on a chilly day. An artist friend from Chicago was with me and we were almost in tears - it was that beautiful.

I did not know that wine was grown there ...

    1. Thanks, Ulrike. We moved here about 5 years ago from the midwest & will stay.
Oregon produces really good Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris (Grauburgunder). And so does Germany as you know!! Most US wine comes from California, but Washington state, Oregon and New York wines get good reviews. I was introduced to wine by my brother who bought me a bottle of Piesporter Riesling Spatlese on a trip to Germany many years ago. I still love German wine.
