Doodlewash June 2018 Art Challenge - #21, 22, 23 & 24

Summer is heating up and so is the schedule.
Between cat sitting for friends and a trip to Portland
to rendezvous with a traveling relative, we've been busy,
so I'm glad the challenge is almost over.

One of the highlights of the last few days was introducing Tim's aunt
to Luscher Farms in Lake Oswego (just outside of Portland).

Luscher Farms offers 180 plots or allotments to locals who are passionate about organic gardening.  From veggies to gorgeous flowers, gardeners plant just about everything.

And then there is the scarecrow competition.

Here is an example.
I'll add a few more during the week.

Is June almost over already?

  5. It just doesn't seem possible that we are into the last week of June.
I love the flowers in your post, and I had to laugh at the scarecrow!
Many villages here in the UK have scarecrow festivals and they are such fun.

My good wishes for the new week ahead.

    All the best Jan

  19. Beautiful flowers once again Chris.
The farm sounds interesting and that scarecrow is fab - I have a feeling it might burst into laughter after everytime its scares something :)
Thanks for the lovely comments about the bird video. You are so lucky to have beautiful Humming birds (big sigh!) I think I would just sit and watch them all day long and never get anything done.
Yep - June almost done - and on a TV craft channel here yesterday it was non stop Christmas crafts - ho ho ho!
    Have a wonderful week.

Yes, the farm is interesting. Everyone there is an artist in some way - everything is done so creatively. There are lots of surprises wherever you look. Wish I had taken more photos, but I'll just have to go back.
Oh, no - Christmas crafts? Now that's scary!
Hoping you have a wonderful week, too, Gill!!
