Chris - not only lovely but heartwarming as well. You managed to capture a sweetness in this piece. Truly beautiful. Yes thinking of those in the path of Harvey too.
Thank you, Debbie.
I love your sleepy elephant! As always I admire how you use the colors - your elephant isn' grey at all and looks so very naturally. And yes I thought of the people in Texas as well - hoping everybody will be well..
Thank you, my friend! We're hoping everyone in Texas is okay, too.
I always love your elephants. I'm about to email you a short video of how windy it is here. Super rainy, too. xo
Thanks, Kali!Tim and I watched the video a few times. Wow! Incredibly windy and rainy. Glad you and your family are safe and dry!
Thank you! And the rain continues. Power out in a lot of places, but we still have ours.
Oh, boy. I heard the rain is going to continue for a while. So happy you have power. That is a big deal!
Thank you, Chris, for this great elephant! He is full of life although he is sleeping! The colors are gorgeous! And yes, I feel like this in the middle of nearly every day ...Rike x
Thanks, Rike! I'm starting to feel like this more and more...
Thank you, Regine,
Chris, I love this sweet elephant!
Thank you, Candy!
I love elephants and especially this one. Its the expression - cracked me up!I am so incredibly pleased to hear you got your house - FINALLY!I wish you years of joy, peace and happy painting there. And for your husband too....well, everything but the painting!
Thank you so much, Julie! I like his expression, too. Reminds me of my husband losing the battle to keep his eyes open in the middle of the afternoon. And thank you for the good wishes. We will take them! We wanted to downsize, and did we ever! The house is the size of a postage stamp, but there is room in the backyard to erect a studio (hopefully in the spring). It's all good. And my husband does paint. He is a master at drawing (portrait and live model) and I am hoping to persuade him to join me. We used to share a studio & I miss him being there.
gorgeous, i do love this . congrats with your house from what I can understand you have moved ;O))
Thank you, Dorte! We will move in about a month.
